BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

San Joaquin Health Administrators (SJHA) is a third-party administrator (TPA) specializing in claims adjudication, customer service and utilization management for self-funded medical plans. Established in 1998, SJHA is located in French Camp, California approximately an hour south of the state’s capital. SJHA provides clients and their employees and retirees with superior service and unique features that includes:

  • Medical staff that includes a full-time physician, pharmacist, and several registered nurses to compliment our experienced and diverse operational professionals.
  • Ad Hoc reports.
  • ‘Live’ representatives that answer all calls to ensure participant questions are thoroughly answered. Representatives fluent in Spanish and Cambodian are also available.
  • Office hours for plan participants who live nearby. Participants can stop by our office anytime during business hours to meet with our representatives.
  • Certified Case Managers who arrange specialty care for a participant’s unique needs.
  • Health education programs that deal with common concerns such as: asthma, diabetes, obesity and much more.
  • Periodic newsletters mailed to participant homes that allow the client and SJHA to communicate pertinent plan information, in addition to offering advice to achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
